The Ypres area will be eternally renowned for the quandary of various considerable battles during the 4-year war period. The third battle of Ypres (Passchendaele), is arguably the most notorious of all. The battle of Passchendaele became somewhat infamous in equal parts; namely the scale of casualties, and the treacherous, swamp like conditions of the battlefields.
A Journey to Ypres will help your pupils unearth the harsh realities of war and the living conditions that so many men were faced with.
